David L. Foreman, 89, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away peacefully Monday, November 24, 2025 at his home. Born October 1,1936 in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late William A. and Resta M. (Brough) Foreman; and preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Darlington) Foreman; and daughter, Cindy F. Hineman.
He is survived by his sister, Sally Reed, of Connecticut; 2 grandchildren, Scott G. Hineman, of West Chester, PA, and Jennifer A. Hineman, of Charlotte, NC; and son-in-law, Glenn G. Hineman, of West Chester, PA.
Dave was a graduate of John Harris High School, class of 1954, and Gettysburg College, class of 1958. After college he served in the PA Army National Guard and was in the reserves for 5.5 years.
Dave started his career as an accountant for Main and Co., and went on to work for the US Navy Supply Depot, Members First Federal Credit Union, Eurika Lubricants, and later started his own accounting book of business. He continued working as an accountant and tax advisor until he was 83 years old.
He was a long-time active member of the Paxton Presbyterian Church, serving as a treasurer and an Elder. He additionally served as a Board Member for Members First Federal Credit Union for 25 years. He was also active on the WWII and Hershey Civil War Round Tables.
Dave and his wife loved to travel, visiting all 50 States and 42 additional countries. He also loved golfing, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 5, 2025 at the Paxton Presbyterian Church, located at 3500 Sharon St., Harrisburg, PA. Burial will be in the Churchyard following the service. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
