
DAVID VICTOR JOHNSON, 90, of Harrisburg, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016. Born December 7, 1925, in Houtzdale, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Louise (Dinaut) Johnson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah (Yost) Johnson.
David was a retired employee from Toledo Scale Company and Heritage Dental Lab. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of WWII, where he served on the USS Nassau. He was a member of Lawnton American Legion Post 998, a member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Forest 43, and a Mason.
He is survived by two daughters, Lecia Peters of Manchester, and Cheryl Benkovic, and husband, Robert, of Steelton; 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, May 16, 2016, in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg, with a visitation from noon until the time of service. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association , 3001 Old Gettysburg Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011, or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 717 Market Street, Suite 108, Lemoyne, PA 17043.
