Debra Ann (Miller) Blascovich, 63, of Harrisburg, completed her journey of life on November 23, 2020. She passed at home, surrounded by family. In June 2019, Debra was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and fought a difficult fight against the disease.
Born in Stroudsburg, PA, Debra was succeeded in death by her parents, Lottie M. Miller and Richard Miller. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Francis Blascovich; son Matthew; daughter Nicole and partner Jessica Ritchey; son Paul; and sister Loretta Graner Butz.
Debra dedicated her life to the service of others, and many in her life felt her love as if they were her own children. She spent nine years as a paraprofessional at Central Dauphin East High School before finishing her career with the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
Debra played a vital role in the administration of the state's ELECT program, providing employment and career training to expecting mothers and youth parents under age 22. The program assisted countless individuals to remain in school and obtain high-school diplomas and equivalency certificates while becoming self-sufficient parents.
No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susquehanna Service Dogs.
