at Oak Hill Village, Middletown.
Born November 22, 1935 in Hanover, Pa, she was the daughter of John and Ann (Larkin) Weaver; and
preceded in death by her devoted husband, George N. Kolarac; and son, George N. Kolarac Jr.; grandson,
Corey Acri; and two sisters, Elizabeth Turner and Rosemary Gustin.
She is survived by her loving family; her daughters, Karen A. McCarthy (Michael) and Lisa M. Kolarac;
son, Thomas A. Kolarac; 7 grandchildren, Chad, Caitlin, Megan, Maureen, Nick, Josh and Devin; and 6
great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Chase, Alyssa, Molly, Corrina and Olive and a host of nieces and nephews.
Dolores was a proud St. Francis Elementary school graduate and attended Catholic High where she met
the love of her life and husband of 54 years, George Kolarac.
She was George’s #1 fan on and off the field, cheering him on and supporting him as he continued his
football career and education at the University of Maryland. They became lifelong Terps fans and she
perfected her recipe for Maryland Crab Soup.
Dolores was retired from Nationwide Insurance Co. and a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic
Church and it’s Legion of Mary.
Dolores was an avid and unrivaled fan for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Phillies. She was a devout
Catholic, treasured her days spent with family in McSherrystown, loved a good tailgate and was the
ultimate party host and matriarch. She was intensely proud of her Irish heritage; a firecracker and tiny
dynamo that would capture you with her spirit, gift of gab, and ability to match you pint for pint.
She didn’t miss an opportunity to celebrate anything or anyone and her ultimate love language was
sending you a heartfelt Hallmark card and never declining an invite. She lived as well as she could, as
long as she could with her family, friends, and the best people she could find. She was all encompassing
and the Kolarac house was open to everyone.
A special, heartfelt thank you to the team at Oak Hill that became our family.
