Donald C. Brubaker, 96, of Camp Hill, peacefully went home to his loving Savior on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Messiah Lifeways, surrounded by his loving family. He was a former resident at The Woods at Cedar Run, Camp Hill. He was born in Juanita County on November 26, 1923, to the late Ira and Esther E. (Kauffman) Brubaker; and preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, June F. Brubaker. Surviving is his son, Daryl Brubaker; two daughters, Donna Stover (Ed) and Jill Bennish; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Don served in World War II in the South Pacific with the Navy Seabees. One of his jobs was helping to build the runway on Tinian Island for the Enola Gay. After the war, he married and moved to Harrisburg to work on the Pennsylvania Railroad in Enola until he retired. Don was a faithful member of Calvary Independent Church in Harrisburg. The family extends their deepest thanks to the staff at The Woods at Cedar Run and Messiah Lifeways for their compassion and care.
