Born in Steelton on December 1, 1931 son of the late Samuel and Divina (Fure) Marsico and was preceded in death by his sons, Donald Jr. and Matthew C.
Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Joanne Jacobs Marsico, son Anthony Marsico Sr., (Darlene), daughters Debra Moeller (Chuck), of Savannah, Karen Rohrbaugh (Jim) of Mount Joy; grandchildren Chelsea, Jenna, Nina, Jackie, Angelena, Joshua, Anthony Jr., Dante; great grandchildren Jaden, Andrew, Arianna, John Jr, Lucia, and Stella; 4 brothers, Frank, Sam “Rip,” Raymond and Edward; and 2 sisters, Rose Santoni and Dolores Dougherty.
Don graduated from Steelton H.S., class of 1950. He was a veteran of the Korean War and received a bronze star for his service. (Sgt. 1st Class). He worked and retired from TRW/Chromalloy in 1997 and then returned to work at Pratt Whitney until 2011.
Don is a member of St. Catherine Laboure Parish and the Rutherford VFW Post 1213 where he served as a commander and the Harrisburg Sons & Daughters of Italy Lodge 2857. He loved bocce and played at the Hershey Italian Lodge. He loved to dance, was the life of the party and will be sadly missed by his loving family.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, July 2, 2021 in St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. A visitation will be held 10:00 AM Friday at the church until the time of the service
