

Mr. Earl Edward May Sr., entered this world on the 15th of December 1922. His father was John Edward May, his mother was Inez Mae Klepper who died on 16 May 1928 when he was 5 years old. He was reared in his formative years at the Ebenezer Orphan Home of the Evangelical Church at Flat Rock, OH. He was born in Lemoyne, PA. He joined the U.S. Army on 13 Feb 1943, and was in the 257th Station Hospital at Camp Barkeley, TX, at the close of WW2 he was at Bad Wiessee, Germany. He then went to work at his father's electric shop in Harrisburg. He also worked many years at Allied Motors in New Cumberland, PA.
He was a member of the Blind Association, the Blind Bowler's League at Red Crown and the First Church of God, Middletown.
Earl loved his country, was very patriotic, and loved country music.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce I. May; his grandson, Tyler Reichel; 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
Surviving are 4 daughters, Sheila Trace (Richard), of Enhaut, Julie Fasnacht, of Middletown, Earla Reichel, of Elliottsburg, and Sharon Faul, of Bressler; 3 sons, Clyde Still Jr (Bridget), of Steelton, Gary Lee Still, of Harrisburg, and Earl May Jr., of Highspire; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in the First Church of God, 245 W. High St., Middletown. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg. A viewing will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday until the time of the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vision Resources of Central PA, 1130 S. 19th St., Harrisburg, PA 17104.
