Eleanor Marie Seaman
January 31, 1924 – September 22, 2019
Eleanor Marie Seaman, 95, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the Middletown Home surrounded by family. She was born January 31, 1924 in Connellsville PA; she was the daughter of the late William S. and Gertrude Ryder Showman; and preceded in death by her husband, Clark R. Seaman. Eleanor is survived by her beloved daughters, Diane M. Weinhold, husband, Keith, of Paxtang and Loretta J. Macy, husband, Brent, of Middletown; her grandchildren, Torrie, Whitney, Bubba, Mackenzie and Kristopher; and her faithful dog, Cookie. Eleanor (Nanny) loved spending time with her grandchildren at Hershey Park where she was a season pass holder well into her eighties, and on Thursday nights for Nanny night. She loved country music, attending many concerts in her lifetime. Her favorites included Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert and Bill Anderson . She loved all day shopping trips spending hours in Walmart and eating at Country Buffet. Dogs were a big part of her life especially Cocker Spaniels, she was never without a furry companion. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 27, 2019 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Paxtang Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 1:00 PM Friday until the time of service at the funeral home.

Eleanor is also survived by her grandchildren - Torrie, Whitney, Bubba, Mackenzie, and Kristopher; as well as her faithful dog, Cookie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clark R. Seaman; and her parents, William S. and Gertrude (Ryder) Showman.

I didn't know Eleanor except through the Weinhold's. My prayers go out to the entire Weinhold family. May you find peace and comfort that Eleanor is now with God.
