Evelyn was an active and dedicated member of St. Catherine Laboure Parish. Despite her numerous medical challenges and setbacks, Evelyn was always on the move. She loved to go the mall every morning to walk and visit with friends, then onto Gold’s Gym to senior sneakers class or her personal favorite, yoga class. She was always there for her family and friends, whether it was a ride somewhere, lending a hand or money, or just someone to talk to. If she wasn’t participating in an activity, she was shopping, having lunch with a friend or enjoying a visit from one of her three children. Evelyn was the epitome of unconditional love and generosity and beloved by all that knew her.

Dear Lathrop Family,
I was so saddened to hear of Evie’s passing. I got to know her at our daily morning coffee breaks at the mall. She was the sweetest person around and I was always glad to see her every morning. She had such style too!!! May memories of her comfort you in the days to come.

I’m sorry to read of your mother’s passing. I remember her as a kind and lovely lady. I always liked the fact that she’d leave perhaps a dinner casserole on the counter to cool, knowing that if we came in later we could help ourselves to it. She was very sweet and caring.
