Frank X. Gilleran, 68, of Harrisburg, formerly of Dunmore, Pa, passed away peacefully at his home , with his family by his side, on Thursday, January 13, 2022, after battling Parkinson’s disease for 26 years.
Born January 1, 1954 in Scranton; he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Anne M. (Redding) Gilleran. He was a graduate of Dunmore High School, Class of 1972.
Surviving is his beloved wife, Ellen P. (Riccardo) Gilleran, his high school sweetheart, his son, Brian Gilleran, his daughter Colleen (Gilleran) Hoke, her husband Joe, and the sunshine of his life, his granddaughter, Marissa Hoke and his golden retriever Kyle, who never left his side.
He is survived by three brothers, Joseph, Jerry, and Mark Gilleran; his two sisters, Maureen Gilleran and Christine (Gilleran) Spring; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Judith (Gilleran) Howell.
He was retired from Advantage Sales and Marketing as an account executive, and served in the U.S. Army.
A man who lived and loved life to the fullest, with the greatest sense of humor and a heart of gold. He loved his family more than anything, and leaves behind his legacy of kindness to so many people that loved him dearly.
