.FRANCIS P. LAGANELLA, SR., 74, of Altoona; formerly of Harrisburg, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born May 20, 1942, in Altoona, he was the son of the late Ray A. and Theressa C. (DiCarlo) Smith. He is survived by three daughters, Tammy Jo Kobler, and her husband, Jim, Christina M. Zeiders, and her husband, Rick, and Polly Jo Laganella; a son, Francis P. Laganella, Jr.; nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Frank was a retired insurances salesman with American General Insurance Company and a school bus driver with Central Dauphin School District. He was always caring for other and enjoyed being with people and his family. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday, June 18th, 2016, at Grace Bible Fellowship Church, 1250 Colonial Rd, Harrisburg. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Miracle League of Blair County. -
