George V. Brown

George was a native of Pottstown, PA where he was born on May 16, 1932. He was the son of the late George and Anna (Pascavage) Brown.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy, of Harrisburg; son, Kevin G. Brown and wife Karen of Lebanon, Kerry F. Brown and wife Lora of Ephrata, and Eric F. Brown and wife Pamela of New York City, brother John V. Brown and wife Rosemary of Pottstown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Cleo. Also surviving are grandchildren, Colleen, wife of Jeffrey Swartz of Bozeman, MT, Garret Brown of Ephrata, Jared Brown of Ephrata, Caleb Brown of Ephrata, Dylan Brown of Lebanon and Elijah Brown of Lebanon, as well as several nieces and nephews. Surviving stepchildren include, John Richards and wife Hosanna of Harrisburg, Michael Richards of Harrisburg, Robert Richards of Harrisburg; step grandchildren, Ryan Kimmel, and wife, Jennifer, of West Chester, Alex Kimmel, of Florida, Rebecca and Heather Richards, both of Middletown, and Justice Roney, of Harrisburg.

George graduated from North Coventry High School, The Hill School and Drexel University where he was a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. He was employed in management in the hospitality industry throughout Pennsylvania during his lifetime. He was a life member of Progress Fire Company Home Association, and served on the finance committee.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 18, 2011 in Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. A viewing will be held from 12:00 PM to time of service at the funeral home.
