Gregory L. Morrissey

Gregory Lee Morrissey, Jr., 38, of Middletown, PA, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016, surrounded by his family and loved ones. A visitation for Greg will be held in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg, PA 17111, on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at 9:00 am, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 1:00 pm. Greg graduated East Pennsboro Area High School with the class of 95, was currently a full time student at Penn State Middletown and on the Dean's List. Greg proudly served his country in both the Marine Corps, B Company 1st Bn 8th Marine 2nd MAR DIV, and the Army, C Company 1-111th INF 56 SBCT. He is a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan. Many things can be said about Greg, his life was full of adventure and someone who would always talk to you in good times and bad, always someone to give not take. He was brave and strong while still having the most beautiful and gentle soul. Generous, kind, sweet, thoughtful, funny, confident deep, caring, helpful, and open minded would best describe him. Greg had the most amazingly infectious smile and laugh that will never be forgotten. He is survived by his loving parents Anthony and Constance Frey, siblings Alana and William Frey, Krista Morrissey, Grandfather William Frey, and his daughter Madelyn Morrissey, girlfriend Stacia Smith.
