Harvey William Sunday

Harvey William Sunday Jr., 93, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully Monday, February 7, 2011 at his home, surrounded by family and friends. He was born November 4, 1917 in Newport, PA; he was the son of the late Harvey W. and Bertha (Little) Sunday Sr.

He was a retired baggage foreman from the Pennsylvania Railroad and was a U.S. Army veteran of WW2.

Harvey was a member of the Lawnton American Legion Post 998, Rutherford VFW Post 1213, and the former Park Street United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguret C. Sunday. Surviving are his sons, David W. Sunday Sr., of Mechanicsburg and Rick Sunday, wife, Bobbie, of Williamstown, NJ; 4 grandsons, David W. Sunday Jr., Will Sunday, Rick Sunday and Cliff Sunday; 7 great grandchildren, Otto, Etienne, Armis, Zia, Seth, Sage and Cy.

Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, February16, 2011 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park. A viewing will be held from 11:00 AM Wednesday to time of service at the funeral home.
