Helen A. Grubic

Helen A. Grubic, 88, of Harrisburg, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Homeland Center. She was born December 30, 1925 in Harrisburg, PA; graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School; she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine Pairits; preceded in death by her brother, John; and her sisters, Kathryn, Christine and Mary; and her husband, Carl M. Grubic who died February 16, 2013. They had been married for 62 years.

She is survived by her son, Robert C. Grubic; granddaughter, Kristen, (Jamie) Hanford; great-grandchildren, Drew, Aubrey and Emma Hanford; her sister-in-law, Catherine Stock of Lansdale, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a retired administrative assistant, and actively pursued maintaining her home until her health began to fail in May of 2013.

She was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, and participated in many church activities and events.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 3, 2014 in St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry Street, Harrisburg. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday until the time of the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry Street, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
