Jack Staffaroni

Jack Staffaroni, 59, of Harrisburg, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 28, 2012. He was born January 31, 1953 in Carbondale, PA; and was preceded in death by his father, Elio Staffaroni; infant son, Daniel Staffaroni; father-in-law, Bernard Cerra Sr.; and brother-in-law, Bernard Cerra Jr.

Surviving is his loving wife of 36 years, Nancy (Cerra) Staffaroni; his son, Matt Staffaroni, wife, Emily; his daughter, Jillian Staffaroni Muretic, husband, Bryan; 2 grandchildren, Jack and Grace Staffaroni, and a baby grandson due in February; his mother, Helen (Munley) Staffaroni; 2 brothers, Thomas Staffaroni, wife, Shirley and Bill Staffaroni, wife, Bridgette; his sister, Elaine Staffaroni Reed, husband, Michael; his mother-in-law, Mary Cerra; his sister-in-law, Diane Gross, husband, Ernie; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jack was Regional Vice President for Corizon Health Care, and worked in prison health care for over 20 years.

He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, where he coached basketball and football for many years.

He enjoyed traveling with his loving bride, playing with his 2 grandchildren, playing golf with his friends and going to the casino. He loved the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Penn State Football. He had an energetic personality and took on the role as a caretaker for everyone. His family was his life, and he will be deeply missed by all.

A viewing will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday November 1, 2012 in the Neill Funeral Home; 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg; recitation of the rosary will be at 8:30 PM. A visitation will be held 11:00 AM Friday, November 2, 2012 and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 PM at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 6150 Allentown Blvd., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
