James David Prifer, 62, of Harrisburg, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018, surrounded by his family. Jim was born in Harrisburg on April 17, 1955. He is survived by his mother, Elaine Smith; father, James R. Prifer (Patricia) all of Harrisburg.
Jim was a proud son, brother, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family. He was a lifelong Eagles and Yankees fan, he had a passion for playing and watching golf and an affinity for horseracing.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Jason Prifer, of Harrisburg and Daniel Prifer (Ashton), of Palmyra; daughter, Megan Huban (Andrew), of Philadelphia; two sisters, Robin Prifer-Feathers (Stephen), of Hummelstown and Kim Peck (Terry), of Carlisle; daughter-in-law, Chrissy Prifer, of Hummelstown; 5 grandchildren, Kyle Prifer, Natalie Prifer, Carter Prifer, McKayla Huban and Ryleigh Huban; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, David James Prifer; and grandson, Brayden James Prifer.
Jim retired as a Project Manager for Service Masters of Harrisburg, with 20 years of service.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 13, 2018 at St. Thomas United Church of Christ, 6490 Linglestown Rd., Linglestown, PA. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM Friday until the time of the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
