Tom was born March 25, 1949 in Harrisburg; he was the son of the late Ross and Patricia (Shaffer) Richey.
Tom is survived by his caregiver and friend, Christine; sister, Suzanne Fechter, of Camp Hill; brother, Brian Richey, of Hershey; 2 nieces, Eria Fechter and Chris Spancake; and a grandniece, Macy Spancake.
Tom was a caring, gentle, kind and appreciative person.
Tom worked for Bell Telephone Co., Mechanicsburg Naval Depot and Holy Spirit Hospital. Tom was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, were he served on the USS White Plains with his friend and mentor, Danny Floyd, of San Diego, CA.
Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
