Jamesina “Jo” Russell, 62, of Harrisburg, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019, surrounded by her family. Born in Fairbanks, Alaska, Jo’s family moved quite a bit until she reached Pennsylvania at the age of eleven. She was raised in Harrisburg by her mother, Lottie Mostbeck and graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School in 1975. After a career change and other jobs, Jo started a job with the PA State Police Headquarters in Harrisburg. Jo and Blufus Russel were married in Holy Family Catholic Church and raised their family in Harrisburg. Jo loved to draw and paint horses, dragons, and nature scenes. She truly loved her family and hoped to live long enough to see her kids grow up. Jo is survived by her two children; Lisa Maria Russell and Edward J. Mostbeck; twelve stepchildren; 25 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, and her brother, Fred Miller. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
