Jane E. (White) Martin Reisinger, 92, of the Middletown Home, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Community General Hospital. She was born March 6, 1922 in Harrisburg to the late William B. and Grace (Adams) White. Jane was a graduate of the former William Penn High School class of 1940. She enjoyed watching college football, TV game shows, collecting mice, and doing jigsaw/crossword puzzles. Jane retired from Rebekah Assembly after 29 years as Grand Lodge Accountant where she was the first woman to receive the Meritorious Service Award. She also worked later as part time bookkeeper in the Rebekah Assembly; was a member of the Susannah, Red Rose and Phythian Sister Lodges plus a member of Harrisburg Auxiliary LAPM, in the Middletown Home Auxiliary. Jane was a lifelong member of Lakeside (formerly) Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Harrisburg until it closed in 2010, and then became a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Reisinger Sr.; and is survived by her four children, James T. Martin and wife Nancy of Tomball, TX, Jane (Martin) Shetrone and husband John of Hummelstown, Jill (Martin) Lehman and husband Bob, of West Hanover Twp., and Michael Reisinger and wife Stephanie of Etters. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, one brother, William White and wife MaryEllen of Camp Hill, and also, the extended family of her former husband James E. Reisinger. Services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, March 14, 2014 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 4200 Londonderry Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17109, with the Rev. James E. Person officiating. Visitation will be held 2:00 PM Friday until the service at the church; with the interment to follow at the East Harrisburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Central Pennsylvania Hospice, Macular Degeneration Research, Tri-County Assoc. for the Blind or St. Mark's Church.
