John Theodore Lawrence

John T. Lawrence, 88, of Harrisburg, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 at UPMC Harrisburg. He was born November 9, 1931 in Freeland; he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Kushner) Lawrence. He retired from Tyco and was a former employee for AMP Inc. and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. John graduated from Freeland High School and HACC class of 1983 and attended Penn State University. He was a devout Catholic, being a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, where his children were baptized, Holy Family Catholic Church and St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. John is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary C. (Matriccino) Lawrence; two daughters, Mariann Lawrence and Cathy Watlington; two sons, John Lawrence (Carmilla) and Thomas Lawrence (Andrea); 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 6150 Allentown Blvd., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
