John A. Zellers

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp, 12th Bomb Group, 83rd Squadron during WWII, a recipient of the Bronze Star for meritorious achievement and retired from Service Oil Company.

He was a life member of the Steelton American Legion Post 420, Rutherford VFW Post 1213 and the Verhovay Home Association.

John was the son of the late Harry and Sarah Zellers, and preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Sherrie Veet (Richard) and Jan Lang (Hans); 2 grandchildren, Angela Mitchell (Deon Kortright) and Michael Veet; 8 great grandchildren; and his brother, Robert A. Zellers, all of Harrisburg.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Cumberland. A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday until the time of the service at the church.
