Joseph J. Dooley

Born August 7, 1923 in New Philadelphia, PA; he was the son of the late John and Mary Ellen (Higgins) Dooley.

Joe was a retired steel worker for the former Bethlehem Steel Co., Steelton; and a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and the Korean War.

He was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, and the Lawnton American Legion Post 998.

Surviving is his wife, Dorothy B. (Deem) Dooley; a daughter, Sharon Heide, husband, Ralph; two sons, Bill Dooley, wife, Judy and James Dooley, wife, Yvonne; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday, December 22, 2014 at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held at 10:00 AM Monday until the time of the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St., Harrisburg, PA 1711
