Joyce Marie Stewart

Born August 11, 1940 in Harrisburg; she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Jennie M. (Shutt) Hummer; and preceded in death by her son, Michael C. Stewart; daughter, Lisa J. Stewart; brother, Joseph Hummer Sr.; sister-in-law, Naomi Peace and brothers-in-laws James Peace and Harry Poff, Jr.

Surviving is her husband of 58 years, Eugene A. Stewart; daughter, Annette M. Spagnolo (Robert); two grandchildren, Dylan Spagnolo and Morgan Spagnolo; her grand dog, Jeter, sister-in-laws Francis Hummer, Hazel Poff and brother-in-law, Frank Stewart (Jeanette) and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Joyce retired from the Hummer Equipment Co. She formerly worked for the PA Medical Society and sold Avon for 32 years. She was honored to be in the Presidential Club for Avon for 15 of those years.

Joyce loved to watch her grandchildren play sports, loved to bake and go for rides looking for deer.

Joyce was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd and was a graduate of Central Dauphin High School class of 1958.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 19th at 11:00 AM at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 3700 Rutherford St., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

A visitation will be held Thursday, March 18 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg, PA and from 10:00- 11:00 AM on March 19 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 3700 Rutherford Street, Harrisburg, PA.
