Katherine M. Rife, age 98, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Brookdale Grandon Farms in Mechanicsburg, PA. She was born in Harrisburg, PA on December 9, 1923 to the late Aaron W. and Louise K. (Rose) Mann. Katherine was preceded in death by her husband Earl "Bud" Rife in 2001. They were members of Messiah Lutheran Church, Harrisburg, PA.
Katherine was a graduate of John Harris High School. She was a homemaker dedicated to caring for her family. Katherine was an avid reader, enjoyed playing pinochle, and crocheting.
Surviving Katherine is her daughter Katherine Evelan and her husband Raymond. Her grandchildren, Raymond III (Lani), Aaron (Jill), and Elizabeth (Mark). Her great grandchildren, Anna, Alex, Adley, and Mitchell. Her brother-in-law Ray Rife and wife Anne, and her dear nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Katherine was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Pauline Schneider (Gordon) and sister-in-law, June Badorf.
A visitation for Katherine will be held Friday, October 28, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17111. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 4855 Londonderry Rd, Harrisburg, PA.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, 901 N 6th St, Harrisburg, PA 17102.
