Mary Louise Berardone, of Harrisburg, passed away into eternal life on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Misericordia Nursing Home, York, PA at the age of 86. She was born September 6, 1938, to the late Charles G. Verotsky and the late Mary Louise Rogosky in Windber, Somerset Co., PA. She was the wife of the late Robert A. Berardone. She is survived by a son David A. Berardone (Kathie) of York, PA. Step granddaughter Andrea Krebs (Cory) and daughters Haley Sheffer and Madison Krebs. Also preceded in death was a son Robert C. Berardone and grandson Anthony C. Berardone.
She is lovingly remembered by her brother Charles Edward Verotsky (Fran) of Mechanicsburg; her sisters, Carolyn J. Kronen (the late Joseph) of East Hartford, CT and Michaelene A. Barone (Gary) of Harrisburg; and her sister-in-law Sandy Berardone (the late Arthur) of Harrisburg as well as many nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart.
Mary graduated from Adams-Summerhill High School class of 56. She moved to Harrisburg and started her career with the PA Turnpike Dept and retired as Director of Dog Law Enforcement under the Dept of Agriculture. She cherished traveling and gatherings with her family and playing cards with her friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 PM Friday, September 12, 2025 at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be from 11:00 AM Friday until the time of the service at the church.
