Matthew (Matt) M. Sucheski, 76, of Lower Paxton Township, and formally of Chambers Hill, was welcomed into the Kingdom of God on Tuesday Nov. 19, 2019. Born on August 26, 1943 to the late Matthew and Sophie (Ferrett) Sucheski, and preceded in death by his brother Leonard. Matt was a graduate of St. Ann's Monastery High School in Scranton. He received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and a graduate degree in engineering science from Penn State University. He was employed at AMP Inc. for 33 years, and also worked at Thermacore Corp. Prior to his retirement he was a principal consultant at APEX Consulting in Harrisburg. Matt is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Lois; his two sons, Dr. Brian Sucheski and wife Dr. Jen Blauth and Stephen Sucheski and his wife Julie Kepler Sucheski; five grandchildren, Ashley, Isabella. Benjamin, Kate and Kyle, whom he was so proud of and loved so deeply; his sister in-law, Mary Ann Sucheski; and his niece Dr. Amy Sucheski MacQueen and nephews Adam and Peter Sucheski. A Mass of Christian Burial and celebration of life will be held on 11:00 AM Saturday, November 23, 2019 at St. Catherine Laboure Church; 4000 Derry Street, Swatara Township, with Fr. Joshua Weaver as celebrant. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Our special thanks to his caretaker Melissa. Her love and compassion were greatly appreciated.
