
Nancy Lee Moyer Haines, 80, passed away March 11, 2012. She resided at Maple Farm, Akron, PA. She was born July 21, 1931, in Harrisburg and was the daughter of the late Eva P. (Fetterhoff) and Irwin F. Moyer. She graduated from Susquehanna Township High School and was a long time civilian employee of the Air Force base at Olmstead and the Naval Depot in Mechanicsburg.
Nancy’s true joy was in her church and her family, especially the celebration of Christmas. She loved her family outings and family visits. Before moving to Maple Farm, she was a member of Paxton United Methodist Church, Harrisburg. She taught Sunday school for many years at Trinity United Methodist Church, Harrisburg.
She is survived by her son Pete and daughter-in-saw, Carolyn (Gibson); three grandsons, Jason, (Jenny), of Lancaster, Jeremy, of Mountville and Joshua, of Lancaster; four great-grandchildren, Preston, Sam, Pearson and Molly. Also surviving is her sister Eva Finnen, of Grantville and her family, Mike, Peggy (Sonny), John (Anna Jane) and Mark and her brother Irwin (Ruth), of Grantville and his family, Irv (Shari), Steve (Laurie) and Dan.
Visitation will be 11:00a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Paxton United Methodist Church, 3550 N. Progress Ave., Harrisburg with a Memorial Service at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be private at Blue Ridge Memorial Garden.
