Born in Sunbury, PA, on May 27, 1936. Pat was the widow of William Mannix who died in 2005. She was predeceased by her father, Russell W. Sterner, as well as her mother and step-father, Eva (Miller) and Al Carbaugh. She was also predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert D. and Mary Kathryn Miller.
A 1954 graduate of John Harris High School, her last employment was as the secretary in the School of Nursing at Widener University in Harrisburg.
Pat belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary for more than 50 years. As a member of Lawnton Unit 998 she served in several offices including president. For the Pennsylvania Department she served as chairman for several committees, Central Vice President and Chaplain.
Patricia is survived by a daughter, Kathleen M. Bloss and her husband Robin of Paxtang; 3 sons, Gerald and wife Karen of Dillsburg, Michael and wife Tammi of New Cumberland, and W. Robert and wife Karen of Springfield; 6 grandsons; 6 granddaughters; 3 great-grandsons; and 4 great-granddaughters. She is also survived by her cousins with whom she enjoyed many happy get-togethers.
A member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in her church, 2800 Paxton Church Rd., Harrisburg. Private burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be held at 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM Wednesday at the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg.
