Pete is survived by his cherished and beloved wife, Jeannie of 61 years. He was a loving father to Cassandra Ghinos and her husband Plato of State College, Pennsylvania, and Jordonna Maragos of Charlotte, North Carolina. He was a devoted, caring and very proud “Papou” to his grandchildren, Christina and Sophia Ghinos, and Jordan Markowski. Family was always at the heart of Pete’s life.
Pete was a deeply faithful man. A devoted member of Saint Catherine Greek Orthodox Church in West Palm Beach, Pete loved singing in the choir and was honored to serve as an epistle reader. Another of Pete’s greatest passions was gardening, he was a true landscaper at heart. Pete spent hours enjoying nature, plucking tomatoes off the vine, edging flower beds and trimming bushes. He was a gentleman gardener.
Pete was an incredibly happy man and will be long remembered for his smile, cheerfulness, and kindness.
The funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, January 7. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Camp Hill, PA, or Saint Catherine Greek Orthodox Church in West Palm Beach, Florida.
