He was born March 4, 1998, in Harrisburg, and is survived by his parents, James W., Jr. and Faith Marie (Watson) Heckard; sister, Brittany N. Berry and her husband, Kevin L. Berry Jr.; 2 nieces, Korein and Lillian Berry; nephew, Benjamin James Berry; grandfather, James W. Heckard Sr.; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Quinton grew up in the Rutherford community where he played basketball at the youth center for many years, and played little league baseball where he won many championships.
Quinton was a graduate of Central Dauphin East High School, class of 2016 and received his Bachelor’s degree in business communications from Central Penn College. He played baseball for CD East, where he was a Mid Penn All Star for all 4 years and at Central Penn, he received the USCAA Player of the Week Award for pitching, shortstop and batting, and also in 2018 the USCAA awarded Quinton All American Honorable Mention.
He was a driver for Fed Ex and received the Kris Smith Award for the safest driver of the year, received by Guardian Owl, LLC. Quinton was a kind, gentle, loving young man who left a lasting impact on so many people. He will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 PM, Thursday, September 5, 2024, in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. A visitation will be from 4:00 PM, Thursday, until the time of the service at the funeral home.
