Rita Polomski Murin, 94, died Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at The Ecumenical Retirement Community of Harrisburg, where she was a resident since 2016. She was born September 22, 1928, in Mt. Carmel, PA, the sixth of seven children of Frank and Katherine C. (Yoder) Polomski. She was a 1946 graduate of Mount Carmel Area Senior High School. She was employed by Amp. Inc. (now TYCO) for 29 years, until her retirement in 2002. She is survived by her four daughters, Katherine Robinson of Camp Hill, Theresa Dickey (Mike) of Harrisburg, Susan Malehorn (Richard) of Halifax and Georgina Motter (Herbert) of State College; her dear niece, Deborah Morrow (Mike) of Shermansdale; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three step-granddaughters; three step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three brothers, John, Leo and Frank; by her three sisters, Clara Zahar, Margaret Sassani and Leona Hoch Wolfe; and by her son-in-law, Kenneth Robinson. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Harrisburg; a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars; and enjoyed dancing with the Capital City Polka Dancers Association. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 16 at 11:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1439 Market St., Harrisburg, with Fr. Manuel Avilies, OFM Cap., Pastor, as celebrant. A visitation will be held there beginning at 10:30. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
