

He was born in Harrisburg, son of the late Chester and Anna (Gibbins) Bryant. He graduated from John Harris High School and served with the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division (Korean War).
He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn (Boyer) Bryant. He is survived by his wife Linda (Shearer) Bryant; sisters Marilee (Ernest) Beinhaur and Judy (Henry) Zart; sons Robert E. and Steven H. (Brianne) Bryant; stepson Brandon (Jill) Valentine; daughters Deborah (Robert) Bruce, Michelle Cangemi and Cathy (Rich Fuhrman) Youngblood; stepdaughters Deborah Casey and Mandy (Peter) Galletta; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
He retired from The Quaker Oats Co. of Shiremanstown.
He was an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles and the Philadelphia Eagles. His kindness and compassion touched many as he lived his life always putting others first. He was dearly cherished and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 8:00pm September 24th, 2015. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to time of service at Neill Funeral Home 3501 Derry Street Harrisburg. A private burial will be held at St. John’s Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial expressions may be sent for Parkinson research to MJFox.org
