We are saddened by the news of Cousin Bob's passing which we learned from Aunt Eleanor.  We always looked forward to visits with the Nace family during our annual visits with Grandpa. I liked the story of how Bob woke up Barbara with the Beatles "Good Morning" at full blast on the ol' stereo.  Such fun memories on Uncle Ray's River!  As the first of our generation, put in a good word with the Lord for us, Bob.  We know you are with Him.

It is with sadness that I see that Bob has passed on before he was able to retire from state service. Over the years I saw Bob many times at the Uptown Plaza when we both worked in state offices at that location. We would always compare notes about retirement dates and Susquehanna Township class of 1967 reunions. Bob always had something nice (and witty) to say. It is so sad that he is gone from this earth. Bob, I still can't believe that you aren't here anymore and that you'll never see your retirement that you were really looking forward to.  I'll miss you coming over for dinner, calling me at work with News updates, and I'll especially miss you at the holidays - it will be so sad seeing that empty seat this year.  I wish I could have done something for you.  I pray that you are at peace and catching up with Mom and Dad. I loved you and you will be greatly missed.

Bob was quite a character with his quick wit and strong opinions.  He and I shared an interest in cars and a passion for Halloween.  
Three things that will always stick with me: 1) his concern for me parking my Mustang in the lot at work for fear it would get scratched, dinged or someone would cut into the convertible top; 2) his stories about his youth, especially drag racing on Second Street; and 3) everytime I rode my scooter to work, he'd tell me he'd better not encounter me on the Harvey Taylor Bridge because he'd run me over if I wasn't going fast enough!
My hope for his family is that you will eventually be able to find peace in knowing that Bob enjoyed his travels (ski trips to Europe), lived authentically, and LOVED HIS FAMILY VERY MUCH.
May he rest in peace.

Even though we were 14 years apart in age, you and I shared many common interests. Most recently, your nephews, Michael and Joshua, looked forward twice a year to going to the big "G" scale train show in York. I can't believe that you passed away one month before your retirement. The holidays will never be the same. I love you and I will miss you. Your brother John.

Extending deepest sympathy to Bob's family and friends at this difficult time.  I worked with Bob for a few years, and I always enjoyed our many conversations, especially when they concerned politics.  He always had interesting viewpoints about current affairs, and you could usually count on him to offer a witty remark about whatever was happening in the world.  The last time I spoke to Bob was in July, and he was telling me about his timetable for retiring from State service.  His unexpected passing should remind all of us about the fragile nature of this life and the importance of embracing each day.

Over the past 3 1/2 years Bob spent a lot of time at my desk chatting about one thing or the other, although we disagreed 95% of the time, I always enjoyed his presence.  I extend my deepest most heartfelt condolences to his family and other loved ones.  He was a good and decent guy and will always be missed.

It was a pleasure knowing Bob. I have sat and talked with Bob as well as laughed at many of the stories he told. I have known Bob through different agencies I worked with for over 15 years and know how much he was looking forward to retiring. My prayers and condolences go out to all of the family and friends who have had the pleasure of knowing him and working with him.

I will miss the times when Bob and I would joke with each other at work.  He was well read and kept current with things going on in the world.
