
He served in the U. S. Marine Corp, Semper Fi, and retired from the U. S. Postal Service. He was an avid Nascar fan who loved camping, motorcross, classic vehicles, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his son, Cory M. Mills of Boston, MA; his mother & stepfather, Theresa (Gustin) and Karl G. Chortanoff Jr., with whom he lived; two sisters, Deborah Patches of Palmyra and Karin Payton, and her husband David, of Linglestown; 3 brothers, William A. Mills of Oberlin, Robert Mills of Harrisburg, and Karl G. Chortanoff III, and his wife Julie, of West Hanover Twp; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 pm, Thursday, October 31, 2013, in Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 11:30 am until the time of service on Thursday.
