

Sarah “Sally” E. Neubaum, 91, of Hershey Plaza Apartments, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away on October 11, 2011, after a short illness. Born December 1, 1919, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Horace G. and Sarah E. Grau Harlan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers; Russell, Raymond and Woodrow and sisters; Bernice Harlan, Edna Isabelle Shuler and Esther Schaffer.
Sally was retired from the Tea Room at Pomeroy’s Department Store where she was employed as a hostess for many years. She was an Avon representative for 30 years and a member of the Avon President’s Club. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW and a former member of the Stevens Memorial United Methodist Church and East End Democratic Club in Harrisburg.
She is survived by one daughter; Virginia Butina (Mick), two sons; Lloyd Neubaum (Mary) and William Neubaum (Linda); one sister Mildred Shader; eight grandchildren; Barbara, April, Barry, Joseph, Lori, Michelle, Eric and Tracy; six great-grandchildren; Jeffrey, Benjamin, Nicholas, Nathaniel, Sarah and Brandon (soon to be seven); also many nieces, nephews and friends.
Sally had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good joke. More than anything she loved spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed….we love you Granny.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011, at 11:00 AM in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg, PA 17111, with a viewing preceding from 10:00 AM to 11:00 Am at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, 1811 Carlisle Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
