Shirley A. George

Shirley A. George, 61, of Harrisburg, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015, in Hershey Medical Center. she was the daughter of Margaret (Maxwell) Sheaffer and the late Harry Sheaffer. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Steve Sheaffer.

She is survived by two daughters, Johnna T. George, and her husband, Jose' Santana, and Tammra J. George; and a son, Travis A. George, all of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, Jerome, Javen, Julius, Jonovin, and Jianna; two sisters, Donna Sullivan of Harrisburg, and Peggy Sheaffer of Millersburg, and a brother, Harry Sheaffer, of Virginia.

Shirley worked at Penn National Insurance and JC Penney. She was a 1972 graduate of John Harris High School and loved listening to Elvis and going shopping. She was a loving person who lived for her family. Her loss will leave an unfathomable void in their lives.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, September 25, 2015, in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg, with a visitation held from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens at the convenience of the family.
