She was born April 9, 1936, in Mount Carmel, and was the daughter of the late Elmer and Edna (Carl) Hower. Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter W. Liddick.
She is survived by her loving children: daughters Cynthia Liddick and Sheri Liddick (Tom Bentz). She was a devoted grandmother to Brandilee (Lance) and Randi, and a cherished great-grandmother to Isaiah, Mateo, Julian, Cruz, Elias, Kobe, Leo, Avery, and Cameron. Shirley deeply loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—the entire Liddick family, who were the pride and joy of her life.
Shirley was a faithful member of Kochenderfer United Methodist Church, where she dearly loved her church family and friends. She had a remarkable ability to fix almost anything that had a rip or a hole, always ready with a needle and thread. Shirley was also an exceptional cook and baker, able to prepare anything you asked for—or even something you simply wished for—always sharing her talents with love.
Rooted in Christian faith, Shirley lived a life filled with laughter, kindness, and devotion. In her final days, she shared her heartfelt wish that the entire Liddick family would find Jesus Christ, walk in faith, and that one day she would be joyfully reunited with them all in Heaven, together again in God’s eternal presence.
Services and burial will be private.
