

He was born November 14, 1933 in Neohorion, Greece; he was the son of the late George and Panagiota Sgagias; and preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Vellios.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances P. (Stilo) Sgagias; a daughter, Paula Peterson (Kyle), of Harrisburg; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Burns, Janell Kiser (Tom) and Kyle Peterson; 3 great-granddaughters, Anna Burns, Mallory and Madaline Kiser; 2 brothers, Spiros Sgagias (Anastasia), of Harrisburg and Constantine Sgagias (Kay), of San Antonio, TX; a sister, Anastasia Arahovas (George), of Harrisburg; a brother-in-law, Theodore Vellios, of Harrisburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tom was a former owner of the Paxtang Grill, retiring in 1997.
He was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, AHEPA Chapter 64 and the Syllogos, Neohoriton, USA.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, known as Pop-Pop.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 23, 2017 in the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1000 Yverdon Dr., Camp Hill. Burial will be in East Harrisburg Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9:30 AM Saturday until the time of the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church, 1000 Yverdon Dr., Camp Hill, PA 17011.
