Tommy Lee Griffin

Born April 5, 1958 in Beckley, WVA; he was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Belcher) Griffin Sr.; and preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Griffin and his sister, Tracey Griffin.

Tommy was a graduate of Susquehanna Twp. High School, and attended HACC, where he belonged to the PHI THETA KAPPA Fraternity.

He worked for the Commonwealth of PA for over 30 years and was a crew leader for ABM Corporation; he was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran; served with the Marine Corp Reserve and the Army National Guard.

He was an active member and associate with the Religious Education Program at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Tommy was a beloved husband, father, brother and friend, he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, who loved him dearly, Barbara Ann Griffin; his daughter, Eleanor Ann Griffin, at home; 5 sisters, Eloise Williams (Howard), of Chicago, IL, Margaret Jackson (Donnie), of Baltimore, MD, Annie James and Christine Griffin, both of Harrisburg, and Patricia Griffin, of Atlanta, GA; 3 brothers, Robert Griffin Jr, of Chicago, IL, Eugene Griffin (Donna) and William Griffin (Deborah), both of Harrisburg; his uncle, Herman Belcher, of Washington DC; his close and loving sister-in-law, Susan R.V. McCutcheon, of Harrisburg; his very close family friend, Laura A. Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:00 PM Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1439 Market St., Harrisburg. A viewing will be held at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, December 15, 2014 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg; and a viewing at 11:00 AM Tuesday until the time of the service at his church. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Through the compassion to help others, Tommy desired to be a gift of life donor.
