William E. “Cork” Corkle, 88, of Harrisburg, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 in the Community General Osteopathic Hospital. He was born January 9, 1925 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late William and Anna (Ricks) Corkle; and preceded in death by his wife, A. Louise (Shank) Corkle.

He was a retired employee for Kessler’s and a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII.

He is survived by his daughter, Vickie Wass, husband, Joseph, of Harrisburg; his grandson, Gene Ward, of Harrisburg; and his 2 half-sisters, Dorothy Klein and Donna Baer, both of Mechanicsburg.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 7, 2013 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday until time of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics Area M, P.O. Box 382, Summerdale, PA 17093.
