William Francis Moser

William F. Moser, 81, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully Monday, April 9, 2018, at the Harrisburg Hospital. He was the son of the late Clarence L. and Magdalen (King) Moser, and step mother Doris (Doyle) Moser, and preceded in death by his brother, Clarence V. Moser. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Catherine (Doyle) Moser and daughter, Sheila A. Moser, of Harrisburg; also survived by his sister-in-law, Sarah "Sally" Moser, his nieces, Michele Yeagy (Steve), Laura Moser, Jennifer Roberts (Lenny), Mary Beth Darrah (Jim), and Sarah E. Moser; his sister-in-law, Rita Kimmel, nephew, Richard Miller, and great-niece, Marisa Miller; his brother-in-law, Robert Doyle (Marie); and many nieces and nephews. Bill was a retired Administrative Officer for the PA Department of General Services for over 40 years. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years, was President of Parish Council, was a dedicated member of the Monday night Novena, and volunteered countless hours at other parish activities such as the calendar club, the annual parish festival, and bingo. Bill was also a 3rd degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Queenship Council, and volunteered as a Lower Paxton Senior Citizens Van driver. Bill enjoyed hunting and bowling, spending time with his family and friends, and attending an occasional Philadelphia Phillies game. He loved attending Bishop McDevitt football games, yearly Norte Dame football games, and, as a season ticket holder, attending Philadelphia Eagles football games. Bill was dearly loved by his family and friends. He will always be remembered as a wonderful man for his generous donation of time to anyone and everyone who needed a helping hand. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00AM Monday, April 16, 2018 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 6150 Allentown Blvd., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 6:00PM to 9:00PM Sunday, April 15, 2018, with a rosary at 8:30PM, in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg and 10:00AM Monday, April 16, 2018 until the time of the service at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in his name.
