Benjamin "Ben" David Lacey, 31, of Harrisonburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 16, 2025 at home with his wife and pets. A celebration of life will be held at Lydia Mountain Lodge in Stanardsville, Virginia on July 27, 2025 at 2:00 P.M.
Ben was born January 22, 1994 in Urbana, Illinois. He graduated from University of Virginia in 2016 with a degree in human biology. He spent his career in pharmaceutical manufacturing, ultimately as a quality control manager. Ben loved learning, golfing, fishing and spending quality time with his family and friends.
Ben is survived by his loving wife, Margeaux Lacey, along with his parents Valerie Dreiman Wright (Roger) and Michael Lacey; his sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Tyler Denby; his brother, Peter Lacey; and his nephews Declan, Atlas and Maddox Denby.
Ben will be remembered fondly for his inviting and giving nature, being a caring and loving husband, a loyal friend and brother, a fun and playful uncle and the warmth his being brought to those privileged to know him. His kindness and precocious wisdom are gifts that will be carried and cherished by those who loved him.
Family and friends are invited to Lydia Mountain Lodge in Stanardsville, Virginia on July 27th at 2:00 P. M. to congregate and honor Ben's life and memory.
