To Linda and family:
Our deepest sympathy and prayers are with you on this saddest of days.
You and Bob were the first neighbors we met when we moved in across the street, and your friendliness and tips made settling in very easy. We were sad when Bob's illness resulted in your moving away and deeply saddened when we heard of his passing through yesterday's obituary. I (John) enjoyed his stories from his military service and was greatly impressed hearing about the effort it took to start his own company -- Lambert Metal Products. He backed away from no challenge. That -- and his unabashed love for his entire family, and his commitment to Christianity -- marked him as a standout human being. We know he is with the Lord.
Please accept our condolences, plus our apology for being unable to be with you today. We heard of it late yesterday and were unable to cancel some scheduled appointments for this afternoon.
God bless you,
John & Dianne

I remember the early days at Sunset Hills Baptist Church. I would spend many Sunday afternoons at their house. I remember his smile and kindness. All of my prayers

Carla, I am so sorry that I did not have the pleasure in knowing your dad but if he was anything like you then he was a good man. My heart is broken for you and I know how your heart will never be the same. When your daddy dies a small piece of your heart goes with him. Think good memories! Please know that I am there for you! Day or night....

I am so glad I got to know your dad a bit. Us two that couldn't hear talking each other was entertaining. Much love to all of you in this time of mourning and yet rejoicing!

Best memory: Loved sharing lunch with Bob. Two scoops of Ice Cream was always dessert. Seating in the lobby greeting people was his second favorite thing to do. Wonderful memories! Love you bunches. Miss you. You are finally home!

Carla and family...David and I are so sorry to hear your Dad passed away. I remember meeting him in the bistro with your Mom. Both of them were very kind...your Dad was truly a gentleman, and I honestly missed seeing him as well as your Mom. When I met him I well remember how he spoke of you and your family with so much pride. Please accept our heartfelt condolences, and remember to be gentle with yourselves during this time of grief. Comforting and loving thoughts to you and your family.

Bob's Christian demeanor, positive spirit, sense of humor, & ability to make everyone he met feel special saturated everything he did.......His special gift of "cheer and sunshine" touched a world of people from the tops of their head down to their shoelaces!
My memories of Bob are so many............. ranging from his kindness of helping me & my wife move from Alexandria, (Va) to Harrisonburg to chuckling with him as we shared a weekly "Guy's Meal" at McDonalds. (His favorite on the menu never changed: Chicken McNuggets dipped in Ranch dressing & washed down with a Diet Coke!)
Bobby will always a Blessing & example of Christian character to all those he touched thru-out his life.

P.S. I hope Heaven has a metal fabrication shop!
