

He was the husband of Michelle Elisabeth Calloway McCauley and would have celebrated 31 years of marriage on July 16.
Dan was born in Lancaster County at Lancaster General Hospital on June 16, 1967. He was lucky # 7 of nine children born to Robert W. “Pete” McCauley and Marguerite M. McCauley.
Dan was a police officer working for Dynamic Aviation in Harrisonburg, VA before he became disabled. He was a friend to all who enjoyed talking and making everyone laugh. It was often said that Dan had the gift of Gab and kissed the Blarney Stone in Ireland during his visit there.
Surviving him, besides his wife, are his siblings, Wanda, wife of Jim Brock of Peach Bottom, PA, Carolyn Drum of Drumore, PA, James, husband of Sharon Lenhart McCauley of Peach Bottom, PA, John, husband of Jennifer Sheets McCauley of Drumore, PA, Mary, wife of Joseph Walton of Drumore, PA, and Glen, husband of Kristen Martin McCauley of Drumore, PA.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert C. McCauley and sister, Dorothy E. Bleacher.
A celebration of life service will be held at Crosslink Community Church in Harrisonburg, VA on Friday, May 30th at 4pm. We will have a separate celebration of life service in Lancaster, PA which will be announced at a later date.
