A son of the late David (Sr.) and Maggie Manning, he was born on April 10, 1929 in Harrisonburg, VA. He served in the U.S. Air Force; and had been employed by Interstate Commerce Commission.
Surviving is his wife, Janet Gregg Manning of Harrisonburg; two daughters, JoAnn and husband, Rob King of Odenton, MD, and Cynthia “Cindy” and husband, Al Chisare of Long Island, NY; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by eight siblings.
Graveside services will be held Monday, May 7th, at 10:00 AM at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Al Chisare officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 Sunday evening at Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home.
