

He was born in Hampton, VA on September 17, 1959 and is the son of Alice Renfro King of Harrisonburg and the late Clifford Turner.
David served in the US Army where he was an artillery specialist, being a marksman and sharpshooter. He had lived in the Harrisonburg area since 1990 and had been employed with Dean Steel and formerly worked at Rocco and Ray Carr Tires. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the NRA.
David was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed camping; He and Jack thoroughly enjoyed the mountains before he and his brother, Jack, was involved in an auto accident. He was a loving and compassionate son, father and brother.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by five children, David Bressette of Broadway, Christi Turner of West Virginia, Donna Turner of Broadway, and twins, Wendy and Clifford Turner of Keezletown; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Wright; three sisters, Rhonda Yapuncich of Hinton, Lisa Turner of Poquoson, VA and Anita Turner of Newport News; one brother, Jack King, Jr. of Harrisonburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his step-dad, Clarence Jackson King, Sr.
The family will receive friends 7-8:00 PM, Thursday, June 23, at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, June 24, 2011 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
