Don was born in Baltimore on July 20, 1942 and grew up in the Virginia Baptist Children’s Home in Salem. There he met his lifelong companion and beloved wife, Joyce Anne Tucker Martin, who survives.
He is also survived by his son, David Martin and wife Cindy, of Harrisonburg; a daughter, Cheryl Overfelt and husband, Doug, of Roanoke; grandchildren, Paul, Dylan, and Cole; a brother, Rodney Martin and wife, Beth of Pell City, AL; a nephew, Darren Overfelt of Englewood, CO.
All services will be private.
