Duane Ellery Jackson

He was born on July 8, 1961 in Detroit, MI, and is the son of Curtis Spencer of Jamaica and the late Carelia Jackson.

Duane had lived in the Harrisonburg area for the past 26 years; he served in the US Army from 1980-1983.

In addition to his father, he is survived by two daughters, Whitney C. Jackson and Devondra “Dee” R. Jackson both of Harrisonburg; two step-children, Travis Frye of Stafford, VA, and Latoya Settles of Inwood, WV; two grandchildren, Angel Gomez and Cadinze Gordon; several brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews; and his special friends and caregivers, Kenneth and Julia Southers of Shenandoah.

A memorial service will be held 5:00 PM, Monday January 21, 2013 at the River of Life Ministries, 1380 Blackberry Lane, Harrisonburg, with Pastor Cindy Carr officiating.
