She was born on April 19, 1922 in Broadway, VA and was the daughter of the late Earl A. and Letha Davis Kline.
Eleanor was a graduate of Broadway High School and was employed with the Staunton News Leader for many years. She volunteered for 25 years at Sentara-RMH, formerly known as Rockingham Memorial Hospital and was a member of Donovan Memorial United Methodist Church in Singers Glen.
Her husband, Joseph W. Hoover, preceded her in death.
Eleanor is survived by her sister, Mary K. Hutton; and her niece, Jo Ann Diehl, both of Harrisonburg.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Singers Glen Cemetery with Rev. Ed Wilkins officiating.
